Unit 1: 06 Marks

Concept and differences between growth and development. Stages of development (Piaget & Bruner). Types of development – physical, social, cognitive and emotional, and their implication for learning.

Individual differences – meaning, factors affecting individual differences and its educational implecations. (Backward, mentally retarded, learning disabled, Gifted, creative, Delinquents) Inclusive education.

Unit 2: 06 Marks

Learning – meaning, factors affecting learning, Theories of learning. Transfer of learning. Social learning (Banduras); Motivation

Unit 3: 06 Marks

Personality : Meaning. Types, factors responsible for shaping it, measurement. Adjustment, concept of adjustment mechanism of adjustment. Mental health – concept, factors affecting mental health.

Unit 4: 06 Marks

Intelligence : Meaning, Theories and Measurement.

Creativity : Meaning, components and development.

Interest, Attitude, Aptitude, Habits : Meaning and importance.

Unit 5: 06 Marks

In the context of National Curriculum Framework-2005

Teaching : Concept, teaching learning process, Teacher’s Role, Teaching learning strategies and methods.

Assessment – Meaning, purposes, measurement and evaluation.

Action research -Right to Education Act 2009 (Role and responsbilities of teachers)

(iii) (a) Mathematics and Science

(30 Multiple choice questions of Mathematics and 30 Multiple choice questions of Science will be asked from this part of the question paper. Each questio will be of one mark)

Algebraric expresions : Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division, Identities

Factors : factors of simple algebraic expressions

Equations : Simple linear equation.

Progressions : Arithmetic Progession and geometric Progression, nth term, sum of n terms

Unit 2: 06Marks

Interest : Simple interest, compound interest, Profit – Loss.

Ratio and Proportion : Division into proportional parts, Partnership.

Percentage, Birth and Death rate, Population growth, Depreciation,

Time and distance : Speed, Average Speed, Time, Relative speed.

Unit 3: 06Marks

Lines and Angles : Line segment, straight and curved lines, types of angles.

Plane figures : Triangles, Congurence of triangles, Quadrilaterals and Circle.

Unit 4: 06Marks

Area of Plane figures : Triangles, Rectangles, Parallelograms and Trapeziums.

Surface Area and Volume : cube, cuboid and right circular cylinder.

Unit 5: 06Marks

Statistics : collection and classification of data, frequency distribution table, Tally marks, bar graph and histogram, circular graph (pai diagram).

Graph: Various types of graphs.

Unit 6: 06Marks

Living Being : different parts of plants, nutrition in plants, respiration and excretion, plant cell and animal cell- their structure and work; cell division

Human body and health – Micro-organisms (bacteria, virus, fungi); Deceases spread by micro-organisms, (tuberculosis , measles , diptheria, cholera, typhoid); prevention from diseases; different systems of human body ; infectious diseases (reasons of spreading and prevention); Major components of food and diseases developed due to their deficiency; Balanced diet;

Unit 7: 06 Marks

Force and Motion

Types of forces- muscular force, frictional force, gravitational force, magnetic force, electrostatic force);

Types of motion (linear, zig-zag, circular, vibrating, periodic) speed.

Types of energies- traditional and alternative sources of energy; energy conservation; Heat – applications of heat; transformation of heat, concept of temperature; melting, boiling and evaporation; condensation and sublimation; examples of thermal expansion in daily life; insulator and conductor of heat; Methods of heat transfer (conduction, convention and radiation).

Unit 8: 06Marks

Light – sources of light, formation of shadow, reflection of light, image formation in plane mirror, spherical mirror (focus, focal length, radius of curvature), Image formed by spherical (convex and concave) mirrors; incidents related to refraction; images formed by convex and concave lenses; application of lenses Sound – Types of sound, sound propagation characteristics of sound, echo, noise and methods to reduce noise. Magnetism – properties of magnet, magnetic induction, various application of magnetism.

Unit 9: 06Marks

Electricity – Electric cells ; direct current and alternate current; conductor, semiconductor and insulator and their uses; chemical, magnetic and thermal effects of electric current; electric fuse, electric energy and prevention of its misuse. Science and Technology – importance of science in daily life; artificial fibres, plastic, detergents, cement, etc.; Science and Technology in medical field (X-ray, C.T.Scan, Surgery, Ultrasound and LASER) ; In the field of Telecommunication – general information about fax machine, computer, internet, e-mail and website.

Unit 10: 06 Marks

Structure of Matter – Atom and molecule; structure of atom; element, compound and mixture; separation of impurities of substances; symbols of elements; chemical formulae of compounds and chemical equations. Chemical Substances – Oxides of carbon, green house effect and global worming, hydrocarbon (general information); acid, base and salt; oxygen gas, nitrogen gas and nitrogen cycle.

III (b) – Social Studies

(60 Multiple choice questions of 60 Marks will be asked from this part of the question paper)

Indian Society – Characteristics , family, Marriage, Status of women and Current Social Problems – castism, regionalism, Poverty, child misuse, urbanization.

Mauryan Empire and Gupta Empire -

Political history & administration, contribution to Indian culture Cultural achievement of Gupta’s age, Indian cultural contacts with the out side world.

Unit 4: 05 Marks

The Bhakti and sufi Movement- social significance, Hindu – Muslim cultural systhesis

Unit 5: 05 Marks

Mughal Empire – Mughal-Rajput relation; administration, social, economic and cultural conditions during the mughal period.

British Rule – British policies towards Indian states, Revolt of 1857 and its Impacts

Study of India – Physiographic regions, climate, natural vegetation, green revolution, multipurpose projects, industries, human resources.

Unit 11: 05 Marks

Geography and Resources of Rajasthan – Physical areas, soils, climate, water sources and water conservation, forests and wildlife, agriculture, minerals, energy resources, transport and industries.

Unit 12: 05 Marks

History and Culture of Rajasthan – Independence movement in Rajasthan; prominent personalities of Rajasthan; Heritage and Culture of Rajasthan (forts, palaces, fairs, festivals, folk-arts, handicrafts), Tourism.
